Our multidiscipline design team have undertaken a significant collaboration exercise with our installed user base reviewing the popular best selling 007 series light folding wheelchair. The user requests, design responses, and subsequent user trials, we believe have brought significant ergonomic and performance improvements. These include:
* Increased seating width for customer comfort
* Higher back brings increased stability and increased comfort
* Increased seating padding design for long term usage comfort
* Longer wheelbase for increased stability over rough terrain
* Introduction of programmable speed modes to suit the most severe disability to the youngest agile user, from gentle mode to sports mode
* More prominent reflective stickers for increased safety in high traffic areas
* State of the art lithium battery technology gives an increased range of up to 15km range on a single charge, and more power from a compact unit which may now be easily carried for charging.
* Foot rests position can now be selected to give increased comfort
* Seat back may now be securely locked to aid overall stability when pushed by carers
* Armrests may now be fully raised to aid wheelchair entrance particularly for severely disabled users with motility issues
* Storage bag strength is increased and is now water proof to assist storage without equipment deteriation in less than ideal conditions
In addition the 007 series retains the trademark easy fold capability to a lightweight small size that can be easily stored in the smallest car, that has proven to the key feature amongst our regular user base.
